1. Before curling your hair you need to make sure it has been washed, conditioned and dried. It is never a good idea to used hot irons on wet hair - it will damage your hair badly. You can also make use of a heat protection spray to avoid damage during styling.
2. Clamp your GHD straightening iron around a section of hair near the roots. Change the angle of the styler to about 180 degrees outwards (or inwards for a different look), drag it through your hair and flick up once you reach the end. You do not need to pull the plates harder than you normally would when straightening.
3. Follow these instructions for all sections of your hair. You can twirl individual curls around your finger afterwards to allow them to set, and perhaps add a little hairspray to finish the style.
Curling hair with GHD straighteners is actually a lot simpler than it may seem though check hair websites for a few extra tips on how to change styles. Just have a few goes, or even get a friend to show you, and you will soon be an expert at curling! This method works best with a GHD straightener if you have them available, but try it out on some other straighteners if you can.
